| Val Andre |
| | Val Andre was born and raised in Berlinchen, Poland in 1968. His childhood dream was to be an illustrator, but after immigrating to Germany, his artistic focus changed from illustration to graphic design. He studied Fine Art and Communication Design at the University of Hamburg and moved to Warsaw, Poland shortly after, where he worked as an illustrator and creative director.
The turning point in his life was a move to Florida, where he lived for over two years, soaking up an environment rich with nature and inspiration. During this period, Andre developed a large body of work featuring nature and botanical themes. He built a broad repertoire of imagery and styles as diverse as his various abilities, interests and experiences. It was in Florida that Andre achieved his childhood dream and became a professional published illustrator.
Andre continues to work for art and design agencies as a designer and creative director, where he enjoys wearing many hats. He works within many genres, including printmaking, photography and classical illustration utilizing old master techniques. When he is not at work for art and design agencies, Andre is making his own art and running a successful graphic design business in Hamburg. “I’m one of the lucky few who get to combine passion with profession.”
